Suicide Awareness Voices of Education (SAVE) is a national non-profit agency whose mission is to prevent suicide through public awareness and education, reduce stigma, and serve as a resource for those touched by suicide. SAVE utilizes a national multi-media campaign including television and radio ads, indoor and outdoor media, as well as print ads to raise awarenss and educate the general public on the link between brain illnesses such as depression and bipolar disorder and suicide. SAVE also educates youth, parents, communities and businesses and conducts professional training on issues related to suicide and mental illness. Resources (wallet cards, packets, brochures, posters, books, etc.), referrals, technical assistance and support for those impacted by suicide are available through SAVE's award-winning website and toll-free line 1-888-511-SAVE.
